My experience with contacting the Office of the Ombudsman was disappointing.
At the suggestion of their very own “help tool”, contacted this office to check first whether or not they were able to receive my concerns about a local government body.
Got back a rather unnecessarily bluntly worded, curt and dismissive response seemingly conveying a tone of annoyance that I even reached out out to ask and which appeared to be at complete odds to the open and approachable tone you get from reading their websites and their FB page.
Upon responding with feedback, along with suggestions and a request for this office to ensure the information presented on their public facing resources were clear, correct and complete, I got back a pretty defensive and equally dismissive response saying they will not be updating their site.
Have now lodged an internal complaint with the Office itself. Unfortunately all I can say as a member of the public, have not at all been left with a positive impression of this Office and would encourage the office to ensure the information presented to the public actually resembles how the Office operates internally.
